Sankara Labs is a senior-only engineering studio based in Nairobi. We partner with ambitious founders and teams worldwide to ship systems that survive first contact with production.

Built from Nairobi, shaped by the realities of shipping.
Sankara Labs began with a frustration: too many agencies sell decks, not systems. Too many teams ship prototypes and call them products. We wanted to build differently — from the reality of emerging markets, where latency, flaky networks, and payment rails aren't edge cases. They're Monday morning.
We assembled a team of senior engineers who had shipped production systems at scale — in fintech, AI, logistics, and infrastructure — and built a studio around one principle: the person scoping your system is the one who builds it.
Today, we partner with founders and teams across Africa, Europe, MEA, and North America. We stay small on purpose — because senior hands and direct accountability are hard to fake.
